These are the straws from my childhood - paper with a non-detectable was coating. This one is shorter though - it sticks up about an inch over my soda can when i put it through the pull-tab and turn it around. Just right for me, I don't like a regular tall straw sticking way over the top of the can. It is laughable that I will have these for 10 years but it is OK. I didn't pay much at all on an open box special so for the price of 3 new packs at the grocery I got this great straw and huge supply.
