Premium Navigator Platinum Paper for Printing, Writing & Crafting - Ideal for Office, School & DIY Projects

I ordered this 28lb paper to try some double sided printing in the office. It came super fast which was impressive and at an inexpensive cost compared to Staples similar product (sale savings of about $11 after shipping) The paper claims to be 99 brightness, but I use the 96 bright from Staples and this is much much darker than the 96. It also seems to have sort of a muted violet/blue tone to it. I'm giving it a low review because I don't feel like this is what it says it is. If you just need some cheap heavy paper that you don't need for professional purposes, I guess you're all set then.I ordered the 5 ream case, it was shipped and sold by Shoplet. It arrived very quickly and the price was right. When it arrived it was wrapped in tons of tape and looked like it had been thru a war. Several edges were split and ripped up. Tearing the box open further, every single ream is busted wide open on at least one side. The top ream had the most damage the edge that was ripped open had lots of dirt all over the side of the ream. It would cost too much to return it and I need the paper for a project so I'm going to use it. But it is ridiculous that this was shipped to me as a new product. I would expect this condition if I was shopping at a local yard sale. Of course if I had seen it in person I would never have bought it. Now I need to figure out how to store 2,500 sheets of paper in disintegrating packaging.I have bought cases of this paper several times. It is outstanding quality and reasonably priced. I use it for double sided color handouts at workshops and training. The delivery and service are excellent. I give 5 stars for product but one star for how it is packaged for delivery!The shipping packaging is inadequate and the reams and box were damaged when received both times. Several of the reams were burst open. This causes some damage and inconvenience.I ordered this paper thinking it was like 20 lb copy paper only heavier. It turned out to be more like thin card stock, the paper index cards are printed on. It seems to have been my mistake. If you do sell 24 lb copy paer in either white or beige, let me know and I'll take a chance on it.Have used this for years, from this supplier. If you prefer the best and the brightest for all copies,in house to client, this is unbeatable value for the heaviest paper going. On one occasion whenwrong paper was delivered it was collected next day and the correct product delivered that afternoon.But then I am just up the road in Austin from these folks north of San Antonio.My letterhead is engraved Crane 100% cotton and this Navigator Platinum stands up to that qualitywhen delivered to clients. Design builder 45 years.I only use 28lb paper in my printers as it never causes a jam and does not curl as easily when doing 2 sided printing. The shipping box is a bit weak as the courier had to return the packaging (even before I had a chance to refuse it) due to damage. You can beat the price and I will be buying again.Update: July 29I originally bought this at $19.80 and found that today the price is now at $61.45 Of course once can expect that I will not be buying this item at that price.I ordered this paper from Shoplet on Mon and the next day at my doorstep was the paper. Unbelievably fast. I have ordered from the company before and they have the best service out there. I have used this paper for years and it is of excellent quality and is very impressive to my clients who like the brightness and feel of the extra weight of it. It makes it much easier to leaf though several pages.I agree that the paper is not very white but it is very thick and feels good and my HP 4+ laser printer likes it (no jams)..I have ordered this paper twice now.
