My cat is very sensitive to litter. I have tried different kinds and they would make her paws itch. This litter is natural and somehow reduces the odor with magic. No more itchy paws for my girl.our ferrets weren’t using their litter box consistently until i switched to this litter. the only downside to it is when you clean out the litter box, you end up throwing away more than just normal cat litter. i hated going through it so fast but was willing to keep buying so they wouldn’t use the bathroom all over the cage.I had to switch to this brand for my bunny (I can’t find Yesterdays News anywhere!). It’s a good alternative but a little more messy and doesn’t cover odor as well as YN.I got this for my ferret and while it did a good job around smell, he also threw a lot out of his cage. He likes to dig around, plop on the floor, and explore. The problem is, it is so easy for him to knock it from his cage although it's 6 inches deep. No matter how much I vacuum there is a new mess every day. I would not recommend this for ferrets. It is cheaper and cleaner to subscribe to Sunday delivery of the New York Times, which uses safe ink. He can't knock newspaper sheets from his cage, and in the meantime, I get great reporting! Pick any paper you like though, just research the ink safety.Purchased for our ferret. Does not absorb and does nothing to keep odor at a minimum. I gave 3 ? because it's so easy to remove from cage.No scent, it’s pretty easy to clean. I really like this a lot. I am using it for my bunny. I place a basin in a plastic bag and fill it with half litter and half hay . When it needs cleaning , I can just lift out the plastic bag. No odors no mess. I had to dress up the greenery a bit as was suggested by others here. It looks great!UPDATE as of 02/19/2015 - Minus another star due to PLASTIC INSIDE LITTERI have to have surgery tomorrow so I cleaned out the litter-boxes today so the piggy sitter wouldn't have to worry about it. I'll start with the good, this single bag will fill two 20 inch by 24 inch litter boxes and two 14 by 12 inch litter boxes with an inch of litter in each. Pretty good and I was impressed. But I did have to deduct another star from my rating due to all of the bits of plastic that was more towards the bottom of the bag. It wasn't just one or two pieces nor were they tiny pieces which I could've probably forgiven. These were fairly good sized pieces, colored in red, blue, yellow and clear. Even some of the actual pellets had pretty fair sized pieces of plastic hanging out of them. I had to carefully sift cup full. I am happy the pellets are grey(ish) so the colored pieces stood out very well. The clear (of course) did not but I'm confident I got 99% out. I saved the pellets with the plastic and the bits of plastic and took a picture of the ones that you see clearly so others can be on the look out. The litter still works great paired with the Carefresh Ultra so I will continue to use it. I will be more vigilant when cleaning their boxes though and I suggest others take the same precaution.+ Original Review +I took a star off because the bag only comes about half full but that's with virtually everything these days. The product works great. I bought this along with a bag of Carefresh Ultra to introduce litter boxes to my two male guinea pigs. It does great in both their 'kitchen' area box and in their hidey area box that's under their curtain. It absorbs well enough (at least with the Carefresh on top) to not have a smell in the most messiest piggy's cage in either box after two days. It wasn't dusty and although it had a mild odor it wasn't a chemical one or one that bothered the pig's or me (and I'm SUPER sensitive to even the slightest odors --- I can't even deal with normal bathroom cleaners, not even the 'green' kinds). Happy with my purchase and I'll be buying more for. Also, although my pig's sniffed at it, neither tried to eat it (thank goodness!) and they're able to decipher their pellet food from this litter also. And as for how they took to the litter boxes and how they work, they took to them immediately (even the hidey area ones) and they work very well! I use fleece and in two days, I haven't had to do a spot clean of the actual fleece because neither have had any ''accidents" outside of the two litter boxes. I was worried my messier piggy wouldn't take to it but he has! Makes life a whole lot simpler for the piggy's and for me!Not big enough packetMy pets hated it. never used it.This product is a waste of money. I put it in my rabbits litterbox 24h ago and already it stinks. I can smell the pee when I enter my apartment. My bunny is neutered, and under 2lbs so he doesn't pee much and there are several inches of it in his litterbox.I normal use yesterday's news but was having a hard time getting it so I gave this a try. I might as well have left his old litter in the box until I found a fresh bag because even after a week, it didn't smell the way this one smells after just a day.
